Aligned with the Project Management Capability of the Talent Development Capability Model™, this training certificate program provided participants with ATD-exclusive templates and tools and allowed them to practice using them through an in-course case study and personal course project. Participants completed all participation requirements and a course project to demonstrate their skills in project management for talent development initiatives.
An ATD Master Instructional Designer™ is expected to have a minimum of three years’ experience before attending the ATD Master Instructional Designer™ Program.
ATD Master Instructional Designer™ Program participants are expected to have a strong background in traditional instructional design tasks and at least one previous training or education experience in the field of instructional design.
An ATD Master Instructional Designer™ is required to submit a real-work project in four parts that demonstrates instructional design abilities. This project is reviewed and scored against a rubric by an ATD facilitator.

An ATD Master Instructional Designer™ can easily pivot between designing for multiple modalities and can implement the learning solutions via multiple media streams to produce learner-centered events.

Demonstrated their ability to objectively determine where to allocate training resources to create the most business impact
Defined the critical difference between effective training and training effectiveness

The program has been pre-approved by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits towards professional development hours for initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials. This program has been approved for a maximum of 40 points.
